1980

May – First Aid Team at Scoutex

26th July – The team were at Northampton Town Show which then got abandoned due to flooding.

26th July – CALL OUT – The team were called out by Northamptonshire Police at 1540 to assist to Flooding in St. Leonards Road where the water was at 3ft. deep.

    Team provided the following services :

  • Refreshments to Residents
  • House to house situation report
  • Move infirm to other accommodation
  • Helped Fire Service pump out and running hoses

27th July – Returned to help residents to move carpets and furniture.

December – Provided the Team provided First Aid services to Banbury Scouts Tour de Trigs hike. A duty we have carried on every year since!

1981

No special events but training and duties continued.

1982

March – CALL OUT – Called to Overstone to search for two missing Cubs. They were found in Overstone Solarium.

13th June – Blackbird Auto Club Grass Track Racing

30th June – Training Roade Red Cross Cadets

July – Removed Flag pole from top of St. Giles Church

August – First Aid & Security Team at County Scout Camp

September – Took part in “999 Emergency Services Day”

25th September – CALL OUT – Search for missing person at Billing Sewage Works. Unfortunately was found dead a week later.

15th March – First Ambulance sold at car auctions.

16-17th July – National VW Beetle Rally

1984

1st July – CALL OUT – Search for missing person in Salcey Forest 20 members on site within the hour.

8th August – CALL OUT – Search for missing child in Daventry. This is also the first time the team had been called out during work hours.

16th September – CALL OUT – Search for missing person.
